Clean Air Council Climate Tracker

Started in 2013, the Clean Air Council (CAC) Climate Tracker gained attention from the White House Blog and The Guardian for its promise to gather and monitor data on microclimate and pollution. The device records pollution and temperature data and coordinates it to GPS data and timestamp. The data will then be mapped and an API will allow apps to report where pollution levels are higher so that people can adjust their outdoor activities. The data will also be correlated to tree cover, so that researchers can better understand the effect trees have on pollution and heat.
